The program connects parents and children to early childhood programs and community resources, and answers parenting questions. Welcoming a child into your home is a big adjustment and can be a life-changing experience for the child and the entire family. Stepping StonesStepping StonesDesigned to transition your child from Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) into preschool. During fall semester, child and caregiver attend class together. There is time for child and adult to be together; time for adult interaction along with a parent educator in another room; and time for child to work with their peers and an Early Childhood Teacher, learning new skills. During the spring semester, the child will attend Stepping Stones independently. Class time will also extend and will be from 9:00-11:30 a.m.. Staff do not change diapers, but are ready to assist children in their independent management of their toileting. Sibling care is offered during the fall semester for a fee. Toddler & ParentsToddlers and ParentsTake some time to connect with your little one who is becoming a unique person with distinct preferences! Topics include those of interest to the group as well as information pertinent to toddlers and their families. If a class has started please call for possible openings. EC1401 & 1501 are non-separating, 1402 & 1502 work towards separating the 2nd half of the year. Fees: For each additional child from the same family registering for the same class, drop down one level on the sliding fee scale (does not apply to Sibling Care fees). If your child is 12 months or younger before the start date there is no fee for attending an ECFE class.
