Coed In-house Basketball (Grades K–1)

Introduce your child to the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and supportive environment! This program is designed for kindergarten and 1st grade boys and girls who are just starting out. Players will learn the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork through age-appropriate drills and activities. Each session will emphasize skill development, sportsmanship, and having fun while building confidence on the court.

Session Format:

• 20 minutes of warm-ups and skill-building (dribbling, passing, shooting, defense)
• 40 minutes of game play to put skills into action

Program Details:

• Days/Times: Tuesdays, 6:30–7:30 pm (The first night will be on Monday due to a scheduling conflict.)
• Locations: St. Francis Elementary, East Bethel Elementary.
• What to Bring: Gym shoes, water bottle, and a positive attitude
• Experience: No prior basketball experience required

Volunteer Coaches Needed:
This program depends on parent and community volunteers to coach teams. No coaching background is required—resources and guidance are provided. Coaches help run warm-ups, guide skill instruction, and facilitate games to ensure all players learn and have fun. Please consider volunteering when registering your child.
